    • Relevant real-world experience in Data Science.
    • Proven experience in leading and executing data-driven projects.
  • Education: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
    • Proficiency in using statistical computer languages (primarily Python, Numpy, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
    • Experience using web services (incl. Redshift, S3, etc.)
    • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, neural networks, properties of distributions, statistical tests, etc.) and experience with applications.
    • Extensive experience with data processing, database programming, and data analytics.
    • Experience with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
    • Familiarity with neural network algorithms and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.

Who are we?

athena studio is on a mission to bridge design and data in the fashion industry: we are the first solution to integrate financial and environmental impact optimisation in the early product development stage. While +80% of a product's gross margin and sustainability impact is determined here, today this data is rarely available at this step.

From sketch to sample, athena studio enables product teams to systematically design towards their financial and sustainability targets. Our platform leverages Machine Learning to forecast the financial and environmental impact of each design, and generates recommendations to optimise for both.

With athena studio, brands unlock product margin uplifts and footprint reductions, while realising significant time savings.

What will you be doing?

As a pivotal member of our data science team, your role will involve:

  • Algorithm Development: Enhance the capabilities of our existing machine learning algorithms and play a key role in developing new models. This includes everything from conceptualization to deployment.
  • Data Analysis: Work with complex, real-world datasets to extract actionable insights, identify trends, and inform product design decisions.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Collaborate closely with our product development team to integrate financial and environmental impact analyses into our platform. Your contributions will be crucial in driving innovation in sustainable product design.
  • Cloud-Based Solutions: Engage with cloud-based technologies to manage and process large data sets efficiently, ensuring scalability and robustness of our solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek ways to improve our algorithms' accuracy and efficiency, staying abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning and data science.

Join us in shaping the future of data-driven product design!
