Who We Are

Next Gate Tech is a Luxembourg based data management-as-a-service and analytics company that provides smart automated solutions for the Asset Management Industry. Leveraging the rapid emergence of cloud based computing frameworks, we are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team and work on turning data into actionable insights.

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, cleaning and transforming data, and building data models to support business decision-making. This includes tackling challenging engineering projects in which you will create processes to pull, structure, and store complex sets of data that meet non functional and functional business requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement data pipelines to extract, load, transform, harmonize, and enrich data coming from various sources
  • Build data models to support business decision-making and analytics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop solutions, taking responsibility of the full software development life cycle
  • Write efficient and maintainable code to support data pipelines and models
  • Work on emerging technologies, building highly scalable, secure, reliable and fault tolerant distributed systems
  • Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate, to ensure the quality of work delivered by self and teammates are in accordance with development standards

Who YOU will bring to the team

  • Proven academic success in computer engineering or a technology related field
  • Proficiency in programming languages linked to data engineering such as Python
  • Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL and data modeling techniques
  • Experience in implementing and leveraging data platforms including data integration tools, data warehouses, data governance, analytics, and data science tools in a Cloud environment (ideally Google)
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka or similar (managed) services
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and working in an agile environment is a plus
