Next Gate Tech is a Luxembourg based data management-as-a-service and analytics company that provides smart automated solutions for the Asset Management Industry. Leveraging the latest advances in Cloud technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Ops Engineer to join our dynamic IT team.

The Cloud Ops Engineer will be responsible for the smooth operation of our organization's cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing cloud-based applications and services, monitoring cloud systems, and developing automation scripts and tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our cloud environments are scalable, secure, and highly available.

What You Will Do

• Deploy and manage cloud-based applications and resources, including VM’s, containers, integration services, serverless solutions and (managed) databases
• Automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources using tools such as Terraform and Ansible in collaboration with the DevOps team
• Implement security controls and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, in collaboration with the Cyber Security specialists
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to cloud infrastructure and operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the cloud environment
• Monitor the performance of cloud-based systems, identifying and troubleshooting issues as they arise

What YOU will bring to the team

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in managing cloud-based applications and services
• Experience and knowledge of Cloud Platforms, where GCP is preferred (But AWS & Azure are fine too)
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-based systems and applications is a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
