Job Description

Who will be the next Editor in Chief of Silicon Luxembourg? Discover this unique opportunity to drive the content of a fast-growing media focused on startups and the digital economy.


In short


  • Be the voice of Silicon Luxembourg to our readers
  • Define the topics for all our media outlets
  • Contribute to and review the publication schedule (newsletters, magazines, features, etc.) together with management
  • Coordinate the original content (audio and video podcasts)
  • Coordinate the editorial team
  • Create of an editorial committee


Help define the topics, the publication schedule and build the editorial department that our media deserves.




  • Editing content: review all content, articles, and photographs for accuracy and appropriateness, providing suggestions where necessary to improve them.
  • Setting editorial guidelines: determine the editorial guidelines and tone of voice for the media, ensure that all content produced falls in line with this style.
  • Managing the budget: manage the financial aspects of the publication’s content, draw up budget proposals.
  • Representing the publication: represent the media at social functions or industry events, some travel may be required.
  • Hiring editorial staff members: strengthen the pool of writers and editors, develop editorial boards for upcoming publications, issues, or campaigns.


Skills & Qualifications


You should be passionate about writing and able to motivate a team. This position is open to both experienced and ambitious young journalists.


Typically, employers will require a bachelor’s degree in journalism or English, as well as previous experience and the following abilities:


  • Writing skills – you ensure that all written content is accurate, has good grammar, and syntax
  • Creativity – you are creative and passionate about finding new ways to expand the brand’s content
  • Interpersonal skills – you work closely with all departments and writers, guiding them in their work
  • Attention to detail – you spot mistakes and errors, ensuring the writing follows the style of the brand
  • Good judgment – you decide if stories are ethical and if there’s enough evidence to support them
  • Smart approach – you set up innovative actions and tools to develop your department
